At the Dillingen plant, changes to reactor insulation lifted oil yield from 25% to 40% per tire. A two‑month test of a three‑shift schedule increased weekly production hours by 50%, targeting roughly 20 tons of recovered carbon black per day. A shaft failure caused a loss of about 1,000 tons of output, and annual maintenance was extended from two to four weeks after the incident. The replacement shaft cost EUR 120,000, and the plant built rubber‑granulate reserves equal to 20 production days. By mid‑September the plant held 1.6% of the German market, down from a 2% European footprint previously.

Internationally, Pyrum signed a contract and began foundation work on its first plant sale in the Czech Republic. Talks are ongoing for a project in Greece, and a second dosing system for the mill and pelletizer is expected in late November or early December.

CEO Pascal Langen emphasized the company’s shift from pure recycling to supplying critical raw materials, citing European resource independence as a strategic focus. He also highlighted the Czech plant sale as a validation of Pyrum’s technology and business model.
