WTW Shifts Swiss Retirement Leadership, Appoints Wildner to Global Pension Role

Willis Towers Watson (WTW) is reshuffling its Swiss retirement leadership, announcing that Stephan Wildner will assume the newly created role of Global Pension Brokerage Leader while retaining his responsibilities as Country Lead for Switzerland.

Samuel Neukomm took over as Head of Retirement Switzerland effective early September, succeeding Wildner, who has led the Swiss retirement business since 2017. The announcement was made Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026.

Neukomm has been with WTW since 2004 and most recently served as Senior Director within the Swiss Retirement Team and on its executive committee. He brings more than 20 years of experience in occupational pensions, specializing in financing strategy development and risk management for pension solutions. He is a member of the Swiss Chamber of Pension Fund Experts (SKPE) and the Swiss Society of Actuaries (SAV), and is accredited by the Federal Supervisory Commission for Occupational Pension Schemes (OAK BV).

Thomas Jasper, Head of Retirement Europe at WTW, said Neukomm has been a defining figure in the Swiss team for many years and combines demonstrated technical expertise with a deep understanding of client needs.

In his new global role, Wildner will work with local retirement leads across markets to advance WTW's pension brokerage business internationally. The company said priorities include worldwide exchange of best practices, more scalable service delivery, and the development of differentiated AI-driven solutions for clients and insured individuals.

"With his new global assignment, we can leverage his experience more strongly on an international level and systematically strengthen our pension brokerage business across various markets," Jasper said. "At the same time, I am very pleased that he will continue to serve as Country Lead Switzerland."

WTW operates in Switzerland through offices in Zurich, Geneva, and Lausanne.
