Cloudastructure expands AI surveillance platform into industrial security market

Cloudastructure Inc., a Palo Alto‑based provider of AI‑driven video surveillance and remote guarding, announced on Tuesday its entry into the industrial and supply‑chain security sector, adding a third enterprise vertical after multifamily and commercial real estate.

The company said the rollout follows a footprint that more than doubled this year with a major commercial‑real‑estate services and investment firm, expanding from five to nine sites across multifamily, industrial and logistics properties.

At the new industrial warehouse, Cloudastructure deployed its cloud‑native platform to replace a previous remote‑guarding provider, offering AI analytics and remote monitoring for supply‑chain operations.

Industry data cited by the firm show cargo and warehouse incident losses rose to $725 million in 2025, a 60 % jump from the prior year, with 41 % of incidents occurring while goods were in storage.

Cloudastructure reports a 98 % deterrence rate against criminal activity and a customer‑retention rate of roughly 99 % across its deployments.

CEO James McCormick said customers are now buying deterrence rather than cameras and emphasized that the platform was built as a cloud‑native solution to deliver consistent outcomes across varied enterprise environments.
