ZenaTech said on Monday that newly imposed U.S. tariffs on imported drones could strengthen its competitive position in the domestic market.
The company, which designs and manufactures drones domestically, stated that the tariffs on foreign-made drones may reduce price competition from cheaper imports. ZenaTech added that the policy could help it capture a larger share of the U.S. drone market.
The U.S. government recently implemented tariffs on certain drone imports, a move aimed at supporting domestic manufacturers. ZenaTech, which operates primarily in the U.S., said it expects to benefit from reduced competition as a result.
The company did not provide specific financial projections or details on how much of the market it aims to capture. ZenaTech also declined to comment on whether it plans to expand production capacity to meet potential demand increases.
U.S. drone imports have surged in recent years, with China and other countries dominating the supply chain. The new tariffs are part of broader efforts to bolster domestic industries, including aerospace and defense sectors.
