Diligent Robotics has initiated commercial deployment of its Moxi 2.0 autonomous hospital robot, marking a step forward in healthcare automation.
The updated Moxi 2.0 integrates advanced artificial intelligence and mobility systems designed to assist nurses with non-patient-facing tasks such as restocking supplies, transporting linens and delivering lab specimens. The robot operates alongside medical staff without requiring structural modifications to existing facilities, according to the company.
Diligent Robotics stated that Moxi 2.0 features improved navigation, obstacle avoidance and a modular payload system to accommodate various hospital workflows. The system’s AI-driven scheduling aims to optimize task prioritization and reduce operational bottlenecks in high-demand environments.
The company did not disclose financial terms related to the rollout, including pricing or revenue projections. Diligent Robotics previously secured $37.5 million in Series B funding in 2022, led by DNX Ventures, with participation from existing investors including Eniac Ventures and True Ventures.
Healthcare facilities in Texas and California are among the first to adopt Moxi 2.0, with additional deployments planned across the U.S. over the coming months. Industry analysts highlight the growing demand for automation solutions in healthcare amid labor shortages and rising operational costs.
Diligent Robotics was founded in 2017 and focuses on developing autonomous service robots for healthcare settings.
