Revvity Inc. (NYSE: RVTY) announced the launch of its GSP T1D 3plex kit across Europe on Thursday, expanding the S&P 500 member's portfolio into childhood disease screening.
The multiplex autoantibody detection solution is designed for population-wide screening programs to identify children at risk of developing type 1 diabetes before symptoms manifest. It uses capillary dried blood spots processed on Revvity's GSP instrument, a platform already deployed in newborn screening.
The kit carries CE-IVDR certification and can detect at-risk individuals months or years prior to symptom onset, according to the company. It has not received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Anna Godenhjelm, vice president and general manager of reproductive health at Revvity, said the launch marks "an important step forward for Revvity's expansion into child health screening." Revvity developed the testing solutions in collaboration with Sanofi, which has previously worked on type 1 diabetes diagnostics.
Revvity, headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, reported 2025 revenue of $2.9 billion and employs approximately 11,000 people globally. The company is expected to discuss the product at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes conference in Milan, Italy, running September 28 through October 2.
