Raytheon Technologies has completed a $50 million expansion of its manufacturing facility in Forest, Mississippi, bringing total investments at the site to $280 million over the past decade.
The latest addition adds 17,000 square feet to the facility, increasing its total manufacturing space to 445,000 square feet. Raytheon, listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker RTX, has operated in Forest for 40 years and employs over 180,000 people globally. The company reported sales exceeding $88 billion in 2025.
The expansion is part of Raytheon’s ongoing investment in the facility, which has seen prior additions including a 20,000-square-foot expansion in 2013 and a 50,000-square-foot radar production and testing facility in 2020. Barbara Borgonovi, president of Raytheon’s Naval Power division, said the completion of the expansion reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to Forest and Mississippi.
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves highlighted the expansion as an investment in national security and a source of highly skilled jobs for Forest and Scott County. U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, noted that the project supports job creation while modernizing military capabilities.
The company anticipates creating 100 new jobs at the facility by 2028, contributing to its broader workforce of over 180,000 employees worldwide.
