Oracle Health announced on September 24, 2026, at its Oracle Health and Life Sciences Summit in Orlando, Florida, a partnership with ID.me to integrate digital identity verification into its healthcare solutions. Seema Verma, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences, said the collaboration aims to make patient access easier while keeping individuals in control of their health data. Wes Turbeville, senior vice president of federal and healthcare at ID.me, noted that bringing ID.me’s reusable digital wallets to Oracle Health’s ecosystem would simplify the patient experience and support high‑assurance provider credentialing for controlled substances.
The integration lets patients verify their identity digitally before or during check‑in and choose which medical records to share with providers. For healthcare providers, Oracle Health customers can use ID.me’s network to confirm the identities and professional credentials of practitioners who prescribe controlled substances electronically. ID.me’s technology meets federal consumer‑authentication standards set by the Commerce Department.
ID.me reports that its network includes nearly five million medical professionals, more than 100,000 prescribers nationwide using its electronic prescription of controlled substances service, and over 175 million users of its digital identity wallet. The service is utilized by 22 federal agencies, 50 state government agencies and more than 100 healthcare organizations.
