Indonesia’s main equity gauge advanced to a three-month high on Thursday, with the IDX Composite up 1.12% as gains in financial, infrastructure and agricultural stocks outweighed declines elsewhere. Advancing issues outnumbered decliners 408 to 247, with 181 unchanged.
Shares of PT Mizuho Leasing Indonesia Tbk led percentage gainers, surging 33.78% to 99.00, its highest level in 52 weeks. Guna Timur Raya PT climbed 25% to 1,075.00, setting a new all-time high, while PT Pakuan Tbk added 24.9% to 3,210.00.
On the downside, Global Digital Niaga Tbk PT fell 12.81% to 354.00, Bekasi Asri Pemula Tbk dropped 10.83% to 140.00 and Asia Sejahtera Mina Tbk slid 9.94% to 1,630.00.
Oil futures slipped as Brent crude for November delivery declined 0.47% to $95.18 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate for October delivery fell 0.45% to $90.60 per barrel. Gold futures for December delivery rose 1.55% to $4,482.94 per troy ounce.
The Indonesian rupiah strengthened 0.17% against the U.S. dollar to 17,655.30, while the Australian dollar fell 0.35% to 12,678.06. The U.S. Dollar Index gained 0.32% to 99.24.
