Jonathan Root, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc., sold 1,554 common shares on September 1, 2026, at a price of $27.46 per share, totaling $42,672. The transaction was executed under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted by Root on February 17, 2026.
Following the sale, Root’s direct ownership in the company stands at 26,292 shares, with an additional 15,177.5382 shares held indirectly through a 401(k) plan. Harley-Davidson’s stock was trading at $27.81 at the time of the transaction. The company’s shares have risen 58% over the past six months and 38% year-to-date, supported by a 2.7% dividend yield and five consecutive years of dividend increases.
Harley-Davidson reported a 6% decline in consolidated revenue for the second quarter of 2026 to $1.227 billion, primarily due to changes in its financial services arm. The motorcycle division, however, posted a 6% increase in revenue to $1.1 billion, alongside an 18% rise in operating income to $72 million. North America retail sales grew 3%, while global retail sales increased 1%.
Analysts at DA Davidson raised the company’s price target from $30 to $33 while maintaining a buy rating. Separately, Daniel Nova acquired approximately $1 million in Harley-Davidson stock, purchasing 40,000 shares at $24.5675 each.
