Escalade Inc. said it has acquired the assets of ASL Solutions, a manufacturer of insulated dog and cat houses, expanding its manufacturing footprint and entering the pet products sector.
The transaction, announced on Tuesday, brings rotational molding capabilities to Escalade’s existing operations. ASL Solutions, based in Ste. Marie, Illinois, was founded in 2000 by Howard Atkison and Bob Guinn. The company produces insulated housing units under brands including Dog Palace, CRB Palace, RB Palace, and DP Hunter.
Escalade, headquartered in Evansville, Indiana, trades on the NASDAQ under the ticker ESCA. The acquisition integrates ASL Solutions into Escalade’s US Weight Group, which oversees fitness and safety products such as Goalrilla basketball hoops, STIGA tennis tables, Bear Archery, Brunswick Billiards, Accudart, Onix pickleball, Lifeline fitness products, and RAVE Sports water recreation equipment.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company did not provide additional details regarding the strategic rationale or expected financial impact.
