Dover Precision Components, a unit of Dover Corporation, has launched a suite of testing services for original equipment manufacturers and end-users through its Houston-based Innovation Lab.
The 12,000-square-foot facility, which opened in 2022, provides prototype validation, design optimization, failure mode analysis, accelerated life cycle testing, regulatory compliance testing, and custom test rigs. Services are tailored for engineers working with turbines, compressors, and rotating equipment systems, with additional capabilities including thermal, mechanical, chemical, optical, and tribological characterization.
The division also offers comparative testing for material systems and specialized tribology testing to address wear challenges in high-pressure hydrogen environments, aligning with the growing hydrogen economy. Dover Precision Components designs and manufactures fluid film bearings and magnetic bearing systems under brands including Waukesha Bearings, Bearings Plus, Inpro/Seal, and Cook Compression.
