Defence Holdings PLC, listed on the London Stock Exchange under ticker LSE:ALRT, announced via press release on September 8 that it has selected ten companies for its inaugural Meridian defence technology accelerator programme, which began on September 1.
The selected firms will focus on technologies addressing UK defence and national security requirements, spanning autonomous systems, resilient communications, AI assurance, intelligence, information warfare, electronic warfare, maritime security and critical infrastructure protection.
The cohort includes Blackmoor Defence, CulturePulse, Haziel, Inexorable, Marlin Intelligence, Nisien, N:SYM, TACTIQL, Unified UV and Valinor Intelligence.
Applications were assessed by a selection panel comprising Defence Holdings staff and representatives from partner organisations including Oracle and IMSL. Criteria covered technology relevance to defence needs, technical maturity, deployment pathways, scalability and team strength.
Several cohort members bring established credentials. TACTIQL's technology has been deployed on the Canadian Army's mission network supporting NATO's Enhanced Forward Presence in Latvia. Both Marlin Intelligence and TACTIQL are part of the Oracle Defense Ecosystem. Inexorable was awarded three UK Ministry of Defence contracts between December 2025 and August 2026. Valinor Intelligence reported over 30 closed deals and a qualified sales pipeline exceeding £7 million. CulturePulse's founding team has raised €85 million in grant funding across their careers, and several other participants hold existing UK MoD contracts, NATO deployments or established commercial revenues.
Defence Holdings will work with each company to develop individual technical, commercial and customer roadmaps, with initial deep-dive sessions already underway.
CEO Andrew Roughan said the company would issue a separate operational update in the coming days. Defence Holdings describes itself as a UK-based defence technology company focused on delivering sovereign software capabilities.
