The UK dental market is projected to reach approximately £15 billion by 2027/28, according to Christie & Co's Dental Market Review 2026, released Monday.
Christie Group plc (CTG.L), which operates Christie & Co alongside Christie Finance and Christie Insurance, reported that overall market activity has continued to strengthen through 2026 following a recalibration in recent years. Corporate operators, larger dental groups, and private equity houses have returned to the market after a period of subdued activity.
"The dental market has continued to strengthen through 2026, with returning levels of activity from corporate operators, larger dental groups and private equity houses following a recalibration of the dental market in recent years," said Dan Prickett, chief executive of Christie Group plc.
More than 75% of Christie & Co's transactions during the review period were accounted for by independent providers. However, corporate operators and larger dental groups have represented around 50% of offers so far this year, signaling a shift toward consolidation in the sector.
The review draws on Christie & Co's transactional activity, buyer and seller sentiment surveys, valuation, consultancy, and brokerage projects, along with lending and insurance market commentary from Christie Finance and Christie Insurance.
Christie & Co also announced the launch of advisory and brokerage services in the Republic of Ireland dental market, extending its geographic reach beyond the UK.
