Amundi said on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, that it has appointed Marc de Pontevès as chief executive officer of its Swiss unit, marking another leadership change at the country’s business after just under two years.
De Pontevès succeeds Marco Büchler, who joined the French asset manager from Capital Group in December 2024. Büchler is leaving to pursue new opportunities outside the group, Amundi said.
De Pontevès has been with Amundi since 2007. He was named deputy head of institutional client servicing in France in 2009 and took charge of the division in 2020.
Before joining Amundi, he spent 11 years at Allianz in France, first as head of investor relations and later as head of institutional marketing. He previously worked at Gavin Anderson & Co, the investor-relations consultancy of Omnicom Group, from 1995 to 1996.
His career began from 1993 to 1995 as a staff member for Alain Peyrefitte in the French Parliament. De Pontevès is a graduate of the Institut Supérieur de Gestion.
