US crude output and demand rise in June, EIA says

The U.S. Energy Information Administration said U.S. crude oil production increased to 13.79 million barrels per day in June, up from 13.76 million barrels per day in May. The national monthly record for crude output remains 14.00 million barrels per day, set in October 2025.

U.S. demand for crude oil and petroleum products rose to 20.74 million barrels per day in June from 20.07 million barrels per day in May, according to the EIA's Petroleum Supply Monthly report released Tuesday. The monthly demand record stands at 21.67 million barrels per day, set in August 2005.

U.S. natural gas production also increased, reaching 135.5 billion cubic feet per day in June from 134.2 billion cubic feet per day in May. The monthly production record is 136.0 billion cubic feet per day, reached in December 2025.

State-level natural gas data showed mixed results. Texas gas output rose 1.3% to a record 39.2 billion cubic feet per day in June, compared with the previous monthly high of 38.9 billion cubic feet per day in April. Pennsylvania gas production fell 1.0% to 21.1 billion cubic feet per day, below the state record of 21.9 billion cubic feet per day set in December 2021.
