Kestra Medical Taps Daniel Finney as VP of R&D

Kestra Medical Technologies (NASDAQ: KMTS) announced the appointment of Daniel Finney as vice president of research and development, effective immediately. Finney joins the executive leadership team at the Kirkland, Washington-based company, which develops wearable cardiovascular monitoring and therapeutic intervention devices.

Finney succeeds Phillip D. Foshee Jr., who retired after leading the research and development organization since 2016. Prior to his new role, Finney served as Kestra's senior director of new product development, where he directed engineering teams working on the company's ASSURE Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillator (WCD).

Finney brings more than 20 years of experience in Class III medical device development and engineering management. His previous positions include roles at Stryker, Physio-Control, and Medtronic.

In his expanded responsibilities, Finney will oversee initiatives across the Cardiac Recovery System platform, encompassing internal R&D, strategic partnerships, and artificial intelligence applications. The company said those priorities will be driven by clinical evidence and real-world data gathered from patients and clinicians.

Kestra also referenced findings from the ASSURE Clinical Evaluation Post-Approval Study, described as the largest prospective real-world study of wearable cardioverter defibrillators conducted to date.

President and CEO Brian Webster said the appointment strengthens the company's leadership as it advances its cardiac recovery pipeline.
