DigitalBridge to acquire VodafoneZiggo tower assets for 6,600-site platform

DigitalBridge, listed on the NYSE as DBRG, will acquire VodafoneZiggo's passive mobile tower infrastructure from Ziggo BV, a subsidiary of Ziggo Group, in a deal with L&G and TD Asset Management. The purchase will be made through the DigitalBridge Strategic Asset Fund, L&G's Digital Infrastructure Fund, or LDIF, and the TD Greystone Infrastructure Fund. The acquired business will be combined with Belgium Tower Partners, DigitalBridge's existing tower platform in Belgium.

The combined platform will operate more than 6,600 sites across Belgium and the Netherlands. Its customer base includes VodafoneZiggo, Telenet and other mobile network operators. Belgium Tower Partners currently operates more than 3,600 sites in Belgium, comprising towers, rooftops and other macro sites.

The transaction is expected to close in early 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. TD Greystone Infrastructure Fund manages more than C$4.7 billion in assets, while TD Asset Management manages more than C$571 billion as of June 30, 2026. L&G had total assets under management of £1.2 trillion in the first half of 2026, with approximately 44% of that amount international.

DigitalBridge Chief Executive Officer Marc Ganzi said the combination would create a scaled tower platform across two European markets. Matteo Colombo, head of digital infrastructure investments at L&G Asset Management, said the deal is LDIF's fourth investment and its first towers acquisition. Jeffrey Mouland, managing director and head of global infrastructure at TD Asset Management, said the investment adds diversification to the firm's portfolio.
