Veeva Systems Adds Another Top 20 Biopharma Client for Vault CRM

Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV) announced Tuesday that another top 20 biopharma company has committed to its Vault CRM platform, expanding the software provider’s footprint among the world’s largest drug makers.

Pleasanton, California-based Veeva said Vault CRM now serves 14 of the top 20 biopharma firms globally. The platform itself has more than 190 live customers, while Veeva serves more than 1,500 customers overall across its suite of life sciences cloud products.

Recent named Vault CRM customers include Amgen, Biogen, Eli Lilly and Company, and Regeneron, the company said. It declined to name the newest client, consistent with standard practice in the industry for pre-contract or newly committed deals.

Vault CRM is built specifically for life sciences companies, connecting sales, marketing, and medical functions through Veeva’s broader CRM Suite. A newly promoted capability within the platform is the Agentic Call Report, which generates what Veeva calls "Commercial Evidence" for commercial teams — an automated output intended to reduce manual reporting burden.

Arno Sosna, president of Veeva’s CRM Suite, said the company is pushing toward what it terms "agentic commercial" workflows.

"We're excited to work with customers as Vault CRM drives the shift to agentic commercial," Sosna said. "Together, we're establishing a fundamentally new way of working that helps bring medicines to patients faster and more efficiently with the next generation of CRM."

Veeva Systems operates as a Public Benefit Corporation, a corporate structure that legally obligates it to consider environmental and social impact alongside shareholder returns. Its revenue model is primarily subscription-based, tied to cloud software deployments across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

The latest client commitment underscores Veeva’s continued consolidation in a market where lifecycle management software has become essential for large drug makers navigating increasingly complex commercial operations. With 70% of the top 20 biopharma firms already on Vault CRM, the remaining six represent the company’s current growth target within that tier.
