Etops has appointed Christian Lanzendorf as Head of IFA for Germany, the Swiss wealth- and asset-management technology company said Monday. Lanzendorf will take overall responsibility for the firm's independent financial advisor business in Germany and will simultaneously join the Group Executive Board.
The appointment underscores Etops's intent to deepen its presence in the German market. In the role, Lanzendorf will drive the expansion of the company's market position in Germany, open additional advisor segments and advance strategic partnerships. Sales and customer-success capabilities within the IFA business will also be scaled up, according to the company, which is based in Cham.
Lanzendorf brings more than three decades of experience in financial services and technology. He began his career in 1992 at advisory firm tecis before spending nearly two decades at BHF-Bank and its fund-management arm Frankfurt-Trust from 1994. There he oversaw wholesale distribution to independent financial advisors, asset managers, family offices, banks and insurers, as well as asset-servicing and private-label businesses.
Since 2017, he has focused on digital transformation and the sale of complex software and IT solutions for banks and insurers. From 2020 he served as Business Lead Financial Services & Insurance at Telekom subsidiary T-Systems International, where he was responsible for market strategy, go-to-market execution and business development in the financial-services industry.

The company says it employs more than 300 people and serves over 2,000 clients across the full spectrum of financial services.
