Waters Corporation’s shares reached a 52-week high of $420.30 on Wednesday, lifting the stock to $420.77 in midday trading as investors reacted to stronger-than-expected earnings.
The life-science instrument manufacturer reported adjusted earnings of $3.05 per share for the second quarter of 2026, exceeding the $3.01 per share consensus among analysts. Revenue totaled $1.64 billion, ahead of the $1.62 billion forecast.
The company’s market capitalization stands at $41.3 billion, with shares up 44.4% over the past 12 months. Analysts at TD Cowen upgraded Waters from Hold to Buy and raised their price target to $475, citing continued high-single-digit growth prospects.
Waters highlighted ongoing challenges, including foreign-exchange pressures and the integration of recently acquired businesses, as factors that could influence near-term performance.
