Vivakor Inc. reported a 10% increase in second-quarter revenue to $32.1 million, marking a return to operating profitability after a year-ago loss. The Dallas-based company posted gross profit of $6.6 million, up 45% from the prior-year period, while operating income reached $0.2 million compared with a $6.8 million loss in Q2 2025.
Net loss narrowed by 78% to $2.8 million from $12.5 million a year earlier, driven by a 43% decline in operating expenses to $6.5 million. Chairman and CEO James Ballengee attributed the improvement to expanded crude oil supply and trading activities alongside stronger profitability in midstream operations.
For the six-month period ended June 30, total revenue declined 22% to $51.6 million, reflecting lower contributions from Transportation & Logistics and Terminaling & Storage. Gross profit rose 32% to $12.4 million, while operating expenses fell 35% to $14.6 million.
Supply and trading revenue totaled $26.5 million in Q2, with gross profit of approximately $1.1 million. The company’s midstream operations generated $40 million in revenue over the first half of the year. Ballengee highlighted the ongoing shift in business mix following the July 2025 divestiture of Meridian Equipment Leasing and Equipment Transport.
