Vistry Group PLC said it received a £350 million grant from the UK government to support the delivery of more than 3,000 affordable homes under the Social and Affordable Homes Programme.
The funding, the largest single award in the current phase of the programme, follows the company’s long-standing partnerships with Homes England and local authorities. Vistry operates in all Mayoral Strategic Authorities referenced in the government announcement and has relationships with 29 of the 32 other strategic partners named in the programme.
The broader programme, which has a total allocation of £39 billion, aims to deliver over 73,000 new homes across England. Under the previous 2021–2026 Affordable Homes Programme, Vistry received £278 million in total funding as a Strategic Partner, enabling the construction of over 3,500 affordable homes. Its initial award in that cycle was £83 million in 2021.
Chief Executive Adam Daniels said Vistry has received direct grant funding awards under successive affordable homes programmes for nearly twenty years, highlighting the company’s established track record in collaboration with Homes England and partner providers. The new funding is expected to be deployed within the current year.
