Singapore-based JOYY Inc. reported a 138.1% increase in operating profit for the second quarter, rising to $13.8 million from $5.8 million in the same period last year. The company’s net revenue grew 16.3% to $590.8 million, driven by sustained user growth and a focus on high-value engagement strategies.
Global mobile monthly active users reached 277.1 million in Q2, a 5.5% increase from 262.5 million a year earlier. The quarterly rise was more modest at 0.3%, up from 276.3 million in Q1 2026. JOYY attributed the gains to targeted marketing efforts aimed at improving return on investment and attracting premium users.
The company’s shares rose 4% in after-hours trading following the results. JOYY forecast Q3 net revenue between $602 million and $622 million, signaling continued expansion despite a competitive digital advertising landscape.
