JetBlue Airways opened its second BlueHouse lounge at Boston Logan International Airport on Thursday, marking the latest expansion of the airline’s premium hospitality concept.
The 12,000-square-foot facility in Terminal C offers dining spaces, a bar, work areas and a game room, adding to JetBlue’s first BlueHouse location at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. Boston ranks as JetBlue’s second-largest focus city, with the carrier operating more than 133 daily departures to 68 destinations this summer.
Complimentary access to the lounge is now extended to all customers traveling on Mint or Mint Flex fares at both Boston and New York locations. Mint customers may bring guests for $39 each. Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue Premier cardholders retain complimentary access with one guest included. Mosaic 1-3 members and other cardmembers can purchase one-time passes ranging from $59 to $79 per person, subject to availability.
Access requires a same-day boarding pass and is permitted up to three hours before departure. Previously, complimentary access was limited to Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue Premier cardholders.
The lounge features locally inspired food including North Shore roast beef sliders, crab and shrimp rolls, along with beverages from George Howell Coffee and New England craft beers. Marty St. George, JetBlue’s president, said the new space reflects the airline’s focus on elevated hospitality.
JetBlue also plans to introduce a lower-fare option called Mint Base in the coming weeks, which will exclude BlueHouse access, complimentary advanced seat selection and will impose fees for changes and cancellations.
