Vishay Intertechnology has introduced the IFBT series of surface-mount flyback transformers, expanding its power transformer line for converter applications. The new series comprises 17 devices designed for flyback converter topologies, with input voltage ranges from 26V to 72V at 250 kHz.
The IFBT series offers isolation of 1,500 VRMS for 60 seconds between primary and bias windings to secondary circuits. Output voltages span 1.8V to 24V, while output currents range from 0.5A to 9.0A. Inductance values vary between 35.0 µH and 75.0 µH, and the devices operate across temperatures from -40°C to +125°C.
Target applications include flyback transformers for 6W and 30W Power over Ethernet designs and isolated DC/DC converters up to 30W. Vishay positions the series for use in automotive lighting LED driver transformers, energy generation and distribution systems, industrial automation, building controls, consumer electronics, telecom equipment, and medical instrumentation.
The open construction design allows for winding modifications to meet customer-specific requirements. All devices comply with RoHS standards. Vishay is currently accepting orders for samples and production quantities, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks.
