The Straumann Group reported second-quarter revenue of CHF 707.0 million, with organic sales growth accelerating to 8.5% year-over-year, while reported sales rose 5.9% in Swiss francs. First-half revenue reached CHF 1.4 billion, driven by 7.8% organic growth and a 2.3% increase in reported terms.
Core EBIT margin improved to 26.9% at constant 2025 exchange rates, up from 25.7% including currency effects, reflecting operational leverage across the group’s portfolio. Free cash flow surged 49% to CHF 168.6 million, supported by stronger operating cash generation and reduced capital expenditures following a period of significant capacity investments.
Straumann maintained its upgraded profitability outlook for 2026, targeting high-single-digit organic revenue growth and a core EBIT margin expansion of approximately 140 to 170 basis points at constant 2025 exchange rates. The company’s core metrics exclude non-recurring items such as M&A-related amortization, purchase price allocation adjustments, impairments, pension plan changes, legal cases, restructuring costs, and results from previously associated entities.
Regional performance remained broad-based, with Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and North America (NAM) both posting organic growth above 8%. Asia-Pacific returned to growth despite ongoing challenges in China, while Latin America recorded another quarter of double-digit expansion. Growth was underpinned by digital solutions, premium and challenger implantology, and orthodontics, with intraoral scanners—particularly the SIRIOS X3—and the cloud-based Straumann AXS platform driving adoption.
In premium implantology, the iEXCEL platform contributed to market share gains across key regions, while Neodent expanded its global footprint in the challenger segment. Operational scale effects, manufacturing productivity improvements, supply chain optimization, and disciplined resource allocation supported the margin expansion. The group’s headcount stood at 11,582 employees at the end of June, down from 11,948 a year earlier.
Guillaume Daniellot, Chief Executive Officer, said the strong first-half performance reflected progress against the strategy outlined at the last Capital Markets Day. He highlighted the acceleration in organic growth, particularly in established markets, and the rapid scaling of the digital ecosystem, which is expanding the installed base for future recurring revenue streams.
The company reiterated confidence in achieving its upgraded 2026 outlook, citing sustained product leadership, customer-centric innovation, and operational discipline as key enablers.
