StorageVault Canada Inc. (TSX: SVI) announced the closing of its acquisition of four self‑storage facilities for a total consideration of C$81.55 million. The transactions, first disclosed on July 28, 2026, were finalized on August 26, 2026.
The deal comprises a joint venture with Woodbourne for three sites valued at C$71.25 million, in which StorageVault holds a 25% interest while Woodbourne retains 75%. StorageVault will manage the three properties on behalf of the partnership. The fourth site, purchased outright, is valued at C$10.3 million. StorageVault’s share of the overall purchase price amounts to C$28.112 million, funded through a combination of first‑mortgage financing and cash on hand.
For the fiscal year 2026, StorageVault reported gross acquisitions of C$153.0 million and net‑basis acquisitions of C$99.5 million, reflecting an active expansion strategy.
Following the acquisition, the company began managing two additional locations – one in Hamilton, Ontario, and another near Ottawa, Ontario – bringing the total number of third‑party managed sites to 32. Across Canada, StorageVault now operates 275 storage locations, of which 243 are owned, and maintains more than 5,000 portable storage units. The combined footprint exceeds 13.8 million rentable square feet on roughly 802 acres of land.
In addition to storage, the firm offers logistics solutions and records‑management services, including document storage, imaging, and shredding.
