Simcere Zaiming, an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical subsidiary of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group (2096.HK), announced in Nanjing on Sept. 2, 2026 an exclusive worldwide license agreement with Roche for SIM0660, a trispecific antibody targeting CD79a, CD19 and CD3. The deal gives Roche exclusive global rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize the molecule, which the companies said has therapeutic potential in B-cell-mediated diseases.
Under the terms, Simcere Zaiming is entitled to total payments of up to $1.53 billion, including a $75 million upfront payment. It will also receive double-digit tiered royalties on future net sales.
SIM0660 was developed using Simcere Zaiming's T-cell engager technology for polyspecific antibodies. The molecule combines a CD3-binding arm with binding domains directed at B-cell antigens CD79a and CD19, designed to induce T-cell-mediated cytotoxicity while limiting cytokine release. The company described its dual targeting of CD79a and CD19 as potentially best-in-class and said the asset could address a broad range of B-cell-mediated conditions, including patients previously treated with CD20- or CD19-directed therapies. It also cited potential in B-cell-mediated autoimmune diseases, where targeted depletion of pathogenic B cells could provide clinical benefit.
Renhong Tang, chairman and CEO of Simcere Zaiming, said the company aims to develop highly innovative T-cell engagers through its proprietary TCE platform and that the partnership with Roche is intended to accelerate clinical development. Boris L. Zaïtra, head of corporate development at Roche, said the agreement reflects Roche's commitment to partnering with innovative companies to advance new therapy options for patients with B-cell-mediated diseases.
Simcere Pharmaceutical Group said it has completed six out-licensing transactions with potential total compensation exceeding $6.1 billion. Simcere Zaiming has commercialized products in China, including Enzeshu, COSELA, Enweida, Endostar and Enlituo.
