Austrian industrial rubber manufacturer Semperit AG Holding said on Thursday it posted strong first-half results for 2026 and lifted its full-year outlook, citing sustained demand and improved operational efficiency.
The company reported a 12% increase in first-half revenue to €520 million, driven by higher volumes in its core industrial and medical segments. Operating profit rose 19% to €68 million, while net profit increased 22% to €45 million, the company said.
Semperit attributed the performance to resilient end-market demand, particularly in Europe and Asia, and ongoing cost optimization initiatives. The company also highlighted strong order intake, which rose 14% year-over-year to €540 million.
Based on the first-half performance and positive business momentum, Semperit raised its full-year 2026 guidance. The company now expects revenue growth of 8-10% for the full year, up from its prior forecast of 5-7%, and operating profit growth of 15-18%, compared with the previous outlook of 10-13%.
CEO Martin Füllenbach said the results reflect "solid execution" across the group's operational footprint and a favorable demand environment. "We remain confident in our ability to deliver sustainable growth despite ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties," he added.
Semperit's shares, listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, were up 3.2% in early trading on Thursday, outperforming the broader Austrian market index.
