Savara Inc. (NASDAQ: SVRA) said it will present data from its Phase 3 IMPALA-2 trial of molgramostim at the European Respiratory Society International Congress in Barcelona next month.
The biopharmaceutical company, based in Yardley, Pennsylvania, secured one oral presentation and two poster presentations for the event, which runs from September 5 to 9, 2026. Molgramostim, a recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor, is being evaluated as a treatment for autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis, a rare lung disorder marked by surfactant buildup in the alveoli and currently lacking approved drug therapies.
Bruce C. Trapnell, Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Principal Clinical Investigator of the IMPALA-2 trial, noted that the data show sustained improvements in lung function, exercise capacity, and patient quality of life, alongside reductions in biomarkers indicative of normalized disease pathophysiology.
The oral presentation on September 6 will focus on long-term efficacy and safety outcomes from the trial’s open-label extension period. Separate poster sessions will detail improvements in exercise capacity and biomarker levels among patients with autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis. Savara will also host an industry mini-symposium on the evening of September 6, titled Autoimmune Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis: From Disease Mechanisms to Clinical Management.
