Robinhood launches second venture fund for retail investors
Fund aims to provide retail investors with access to early-stage startups previously limited to institutional capital.

Robinhood Markets Inc. announced the launch of its second venture capital fund, designed to offer retail investors exposure to early-stage startups typically reserved for institutional investors.
The fund, named Robinhood Ventures II, will target investments in technology-driven startups across sectors including fintech, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software. Unlike traditional venture funds, which often require minimum investments of hundreds of thousands of dollars, Robinhood’s offering is structured to be accessible to individual investors.
Robinhood did not disclose the total size of the fund or specific target allocations. The company stated that the fund would leverage its platform’s user base to democratize access to venture capital, aligning with its broader mission of financial inclusion. The launch follows the success of its first venture fund, which was introduced in 2022 and has since invested in over a dozen startups.
The move reflects a broader trend among fintech platforms to expand beyond trading services into alternative investment products. Competitors such as eToro and Public.com have also introduced similar offerings in recent years, seeking to attract retail investors with lower barriers to entry.
Robinhood declined to comment on the fund’s performance or future fundraising plans.
