OrthoPediatrics Corp. (NASDAQ: KIDS) announced the full commercial launch of its 3P Pediatric Plating Platform Hip System, marking the first product introduction under the company’s Pediatric Plating Platform portfolio.
The system, designed for the treatment of proximal femur trauma and deformities in pediatric patients, includes Locking Proximal Femur Plates and Beam Screw constructs. It is available in three configurations—Infant, Child, and Adolescent—to accommodate varying patient sizes and procedural needs.
The commercial rollout follows a limited launch phase in the United States, during which more than 350 surgical implantations were completed. OrthoPediatrics President of Trauma & Deformity and OPSB Joe Hauser said the limited launch validated the system’s clinical utility. The company plans to expand the Pediatric Plating Platform with additional systems in the future, according to President and CEO David Bailey.
OrthoPediatrics, which focuses exclusively on pediatric orthopedics, was founded in 2006. The company markets over 90 systems across trauma and deformity, scoliosis, and sports medicine categories, with distribution in the United States and more than 75 countries globally.
