Macmahon Holdings on Wednesday reported record financial results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, driven by diversification across its mining services portfolio.
The company posted revenue of A$2.1 billion, up 18% year-over-year, while underlying profit after tax rose 25% to A$187 million. Macmahon attributed the gains to strong demand in both its core mining contracts and newly expanded service offerings, including haulage, processing, and equipment maintenance.
Chief Executive Michael Finnegan highlighted the company’s strategic shift into higher-margin segments, noting that diversification had reduced exposure to commodity price volatility. ‘Our focus on operational efficiency and geographic expansion has positioned us well for sustained growth,’ Finnegan said in a statement.
The results follow a period of sustained investment in new markets, including Australia’s iron ore and coal sectors, as well as emerging opportunities in lithium and rare earths. Macmahon also expanded its footprint in Southeast Asia, securing long-term contracts with major miners in Indonesia and the Philippines.
For FY27, management guided for continued revenue growth, targeting A$2.3 billion, supported by a A$150 million capital expenditure program focused on fleet upgrades and digitalization initiatives.
Macmahon’s shares were up 3.2% in early trading on the Australian Securities Exchange, outperforming the broader resources sector.
