Labcorp Holdings Inc. shares reached a record $339.78 on Thursday, extending a multi-month rally that has pushed the stock up 34.5% year-to-date and 23.2% over the past year.
The milestone comes after the diagnostics and life sciences company reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of $4.99 per share, surpassing the $4.79 per share forecast by analysts. Revenue for the quarter increased 5.8% to $3.73 billion, exceeding expectations and supporting a stronger-than-anticipated full-year outlook.
Labcorp’s stock has climbed steadily in 2026, with the latest close of $339.63 just 1% below its 52-week high. The company’s upward revision to guidance follows consistent earnings growth, with adjusted earnings rising from $4.34 per share in the same period last year.
The company also announced the resignation of Megan D. Bailey, Executive Vice President and President of Central Laboratories and International, effective September 4, 2026. The leadership change follows strong financial performance and comes as Labcorp continues to expand its diagnostics and life sciences operations.
Analysts have responded positively, with 11 firms revising earnings estimates upward for the coming period. InvestingPro data suggests the stock may be trading above its estimated fair value, though momentum has remained robust amid improving fundamentals and revised guidance.
