Jyske Bank A/S reported first-half 2026 earnings per share of DKK 39, unchanged from the same period a year earlier, while second-quarter EPS reached a record DKK 22.
Core income declined 2% year-on-year to DKK 6.39 billion, primarily reflecting lower average short-term interest rates, partially offset by higher volumes and increased net fee and commission income. Core expenses fell 2% to DKK 3.13 billion, with underlying costs broadly stable after adjusting for a DKK 60 million one-off in the first half of 2025.
Loan impairment charges totaled DKK 40 million, while post-model adjustments rose by DKK 127 million to DKK 1.8 billion, driven by geopolitical uncertainty. The bank’s Common Equity Tier 1 capital ratio stood at 15.7% and the total capital ratio at 21.0% at the end of June.
Jyske also highlighted a 60% increase in job applicants in 2025 and a record number of applications for its 2026 graduate program. In Universum’s 2026 ranking of business students in Denmark, the bank advanced 11 places to 13th. It retained its “Best in Private Banking” title from Voxmeter for an 11th consecutive year and launched a new housing finance product, Jyske Frihed.
The lender joined the European Qivalis stablecoin consortium and formed an advisory board of three international experts to guide digitalization, AI and data-driven banking. Stage 3 exposures reached a record low, indicating improving asset quality.
CEO Lars Mørch said the bank is well positioned to support customers amid geopolitical uncertainty.
