Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share index closed 0.13% higher on Wednesday, reaching a one-month peak as gains in real estate development, retail and hotels and tourism offset declines in mining and utilities.
The index advanced 0.13% to close at 16,890.23, with falling stocks slightly outnumbering advancers by 163 to 152, while 23 issues were unchanged.
Top performers included AFG International Co, which surged 9.96% to SAR 16.89, and Methanol Chemicals Company, up 7.74% at SAR 32.58. Tabuk Agriculture Development Co rose 4.56% to SAR 9.41.
Decliners were led by Al Masane Al Kobra Mining Company CJSC, which fell 4.35% to SAR 80.30, followed by Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu, down 3.57% at SAR 41.00, and Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company JSC, which slipped 2.55% to SAR 134.00.
Crude oil prices eased, with October WTI down 0.10% to $83.98 per barrel and October Brent falling 0.05% to $90.97. December gold futures gained 1.23% to $4,475.12 per troy ounce. The euro strengthened 0.48% against the Saudi riyal to 4.36, while the dollar-saudi riyal rate held steady at 3.75.
