Indonesia’s Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite fell 0.57% at the close on Monday, weighed by losses in financials, infrastructure and agriculture sectors.
Declining stocks outnumbered advancers by 395 to 256, with 180 issues unchanged. The index’s retreat followed a broad risk-off tone in Asian equities as oil prices slipped and the U.S. dollar firmed.
Among the top gainers, Pelangi Indah Canindo Tbk surged 34.31% to 184.00, while Data Sinergitama Jaya Tbk added 28.80% to 246.00. Steady Safe Tbk climbed 24.87% to 492.00. The strongest advances were concentrated in consumer and agriculture-linked names.
On the downside, Intermedia Capital Tbk led losses with a 10% drop to 252.00, followed by Harta Djaya Karya Tbk at 9.92% lower to 118.00. Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk fell 9.09% to 10.00.
Crude oil futures for October delivery declined 1.71% to $85.57 per barrel, while Brent crude for November delivery eased 1.21% to $91.55. Gold futures for December delivery edged up 0.16% to $4,687.89 per troy ounce.
The U.S. dollar index futures rose 0.22% to 98.94, lifting the USD/IDR pair 0.52% to 17,728.20. The Australian dollar against the rupiah slipped 0.03% to 12,678.59.
