Indonesian equities closed higher on Thursday, with the IDX Composite Index gaining 1.13% to reach a three-month peak. Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by roughly two-to-one, with 409 stocks rising, 242 falling and 185 unchanged.
Gains were broad-based across the Financials, Infrastructure and Agriculture sectors, which underpinned the market’s advance. The rupiah-denominated index ended at its highest level since June, reflecting improved risk appetite in regional equities.
Among individual movers, PT Mizuho Leasing Indonesia Tbk led advancers with a 33.78% surge to 99.00, a 52-week high. Guna Timur Raya PT added 25.00% to 1,075.00, marking a record close, while Pt Pakuan Tbk climbed 24.90% to 3,210.00 in late trade.
Decliners included Global Digital Niaga Tbk PT, which fell 12.81% to 354.00, Bekasi Asri Pemula Tbk down 10.83% at 140.00 and Asia Sejahtera Mina Tbk, which shed 9.94% to 1,630.00.
Commodities showed mixed signals as October crude oil futures slipped 0.41% to $90.64 per barrel, while Brent for November delivery declined 0.42% to $95.23. December gold futures rose 1.58% to $4,484.30 per troy ounce. The U.S. Dollar Index futures fell 0.32% to 99.24.
Against the rupiah, the U.S. dollar eased 0.16% to 17,655.70, while the Australian dollar declined 0.35% to 12,678.06.
