Galantas Gold Corporation said Alpayana S.A.C. has acquired approximately 10.97% of its issued and outstanding common shares through a private transaction.
The Peruvian-Mexican mining group purchased 91,313,890 shares at CAD$0.42 each, for a total consideration of CAD$38,351,833.80. The deal was completed on August 21 and notified to Galantas on Tuesday, the company said.
Alpayana had no prior ownership stake in Galantas Gold and is now classified as a substantial shareholder under AIM Rules. The transaction involved a third-party seller and did not include any joint actors, according to the company.
Galantas Gold, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol GAL and on the AIM market, focuses on gold and copper assets. It is advancing the Indiana Project and the Andacollo Gold Project in Chile.
