Champion Homes Inc. said on Monday it appointed Michael Haack, president and CEO of Eagle Materials Inc., to its board of directors effective Aug. 24.
Haack, who has served as Eagle Materials' CEO since 2019, will join Champion Homes' seven-member board as an independent director and will serve on the board's Compensation Committee. The board size was expanded to seven directors, with six classified as independent.
Champion Homes operates 46 manufacturing facilities across the United States and western Canada, employing approximately 9,200 people. The company produces manufactured and modular homes, accessory dwelling units, park-models, and modular buildings for residential, multi-family, and hospitality sectors.
Haack brings extensive industrial and operational leadership experience to the board. Prior to joining Eagle Materials, he spent over 17 years at Halliburton, holding senior roles in manufacturing, supply chain, and global operations. His tenure included serving as Global Operations Manager for Sperry Drilling, where he oversaw more than 8,000 employees.
Eagle Materials, a U.S. manufacturer of heavy construction products and light building materials, has completed acquisitions totaling over $1.6 billion under Haack's leadership since 2019.
Haack holds a Master of Business Administration from Rice University, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
