Farmers & Merchants Bancorp (NASDAQ: FMAO) announced a board transition as Chairman Andrew J. Briggs concluded his seven-year tenure, including a one-year term as chair that ended on August 25, 2026.
Gregory R. Allen will succeed Briggs, with his first board meeting scheduled for September 29, 2026. Allen brings over four decades of experience in community banking and economic development, including executive roles at WesBanco, The Ohio Bank, and Society Bank & Trust. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Fostoria Economic Development Corporation, the Fostoria Learning Center, and the Seneca County Land Reutilization Corporation.
F&M Bank, a subsidiary of Farmers & Merchants Bancorp based in Archbold, Ohio, has operated since 1897 and provides commercial and retail banking services across Ohio, northeast Indiana, and Michigan’s Oakland County.
Shares of FMAO closed at $33.68 on August 25, 2026, down $0.31, or 0.91%, following the announcement.
