Dover Precision Components, a unit of Dover Corporation, has launched a 12,000 square-foot Innovation Lab in Houston, Texas, to provide advanced testing services for original equipment manufacturers and end users. The facility, opened in 2022, houses test rigs alongside research and product development teams.
The lab offers a range of services including prototype validation, design optimization, failure mode analysis, accelerated lifecycle testing, regulatory and compliance testing, and custom test rigs. It also provides thermal, mechanical, chemical, optical and tribological characterization and comparative testing for material systems. A key focus area is tribology testing for hydrogen economy applications, addressing wear challenges in high-pressure hydrogen environments.
Burak Bekisli, Director of Innovation at Dover Precision Components, said the lab is designed to function as an extension of customers’ engineering teams, delivering advanced testing, analysis and collaboration to support the development of high-performance, mission-critical solutions.
