Evercore has hired two senior bankers from Robert W. Baird & Co. to expand its coverage of aerospace, defense and government services. Jean Stack and John Song will join Evercore as senior managing directors in the coming months, according to people familiar with the matter.
The hires form part of Evercore’s broader push to strengthen its sponsors and middle-market coverage, a segment the bank has prioritized for growth in recent years. Both bankers will be based in the Washington area, with plans to establish a new office in Virginia to support the expanded practice.
Additional members of Stack’s and Song’s teams may also transition to Evercore, though the moves remain under discussion and have not been finalized. The bank has not disclosed further details regarding the timing or scope of the expansion.
