Horizon Kinetics Asset Management disclosed a $2,230 purchase of REN Fund shares on Aug. 24, according to a filing dated Aug. 25.
The investment firm bought 756 shares at $2.95 apiece, bringing its total beneficial ownership to 956,856 common shares. Horizon Kinetics, which already held a 10% stake in REN Fund and serves as its director and investment manager, did not provide additional rationale for the transaction.
REN Fund’s stock has climbed 14.5% year-to-date, with a 52-week high of $3.31. The fund’s market capitalization stands at $20.7 million, while its price-to-earnings ratio is 26.
