JVM Realty, a privately held real estate investment firm based in Chicago, has acquired a 280-unit apartment community in Oswego, Illinois, the company announced on Monday.
The transaction marks JVM Realty’s latest expansion in the multifamily sector, adding to its existing portfolio of rental properties in the Midwest. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Oswego property, located approximately 40 miles southwest of downtown Chicago, consists of 280 units across multiple buildings. The community is positioned near local amenities and transportation links, including proximity to Interstate 88 and the Metra rail system.
JVM Realty specializes in acquiring and managing multifamily assets, with a focus on value-add strategies in growing suburban markets. The firm has not provided additional details regarding its plans for the property, such as renovations or operational changes.
The acquisition follows a period of heightened activity in the U.S. multifamily market, where demand for rental housing has remained robust amid shifting housing affordability dynamics.
