Denmark's benchmark equity index, the OMX Copenhagen 20, slipped 0.03% at the close of trading on Thursday, reflecting broad sectoral weakness in personal and household goods, software and computer services, and healthcare.
Advancers outnumbered decliners 48 to 73, with 13 stocks unchanged. The index's modest decline followed a mixed session across European markets, with commodity-linked equities showing divergent performance.
Among the top performers, Novozymes AS surged 9.65% to 452.30, marking a 39.80-point gain and reaching 52-week highs. Jyske Bank A/S added 2.12% to 1,062.00, setting an all-time high, while Vestas Wind Systems A/S rose 1.53% to 212.50, also hitting a 52-week peak.
The index's laggards included Rockwool AS B, which tumbled 6.59% to 198.00, Pandora A/S, which fell 3.83% to 769.40, and Carlsberg A/S B, which dropped 2.83% to 864.00.
Currency movements were subdued, with the USD/DKK exchange rate flat at 6.40 and the EUR/DKK rate steady at 7.48. US Dollar Index futures slipped 0.04% to 98.70.
Commodities showed strength, with October crude oil rising 2.60% to $86.58 per barrel and Brent crude up 2.20% to $93.64. December gold futures advanced 0.97% to $4,589.41 per troy ounce.
