CVB Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: CVBF) shares advanced to a 52-week high of $23.37 on Wednesday, marking the highest intraday level since June 2023. The regional lender’s stock has gained roughly 12% over the past month, outpacing broader U.S. bank indices amid improving deposit trends and loan demand.
The move follows a series of quarterly updates that highlighted stable net interest margins and controlled credit costs. Analysts at KBW noted in a recent note that CVB Financial’s deposit base has expanded sequentially, a positive sign for regional banks facing margin pressure from higher funding costs. The company is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings on October 24.
Investors have also cited the bank’s consistent dividend yield, which currently stands near 4.5%, as a supporting factor for the stock’s performance. Shares last traded at $23.25, up 0.5% in midday trading, as broader financials lagged the broader market rally.
