Shares of CTS Eventim fell about 5% on Friday after the German ticketing company reported mixed second-quarter results.
The company posted revenue of €899.3 million, up 13% from the same period last year, driven by higher sales across its core ticketing and live entertainment segments. Adjusted EBITDA increased 6.2% to €106.4 million, though the adjusted EBITDA margin narrowed to 11.8%, below market expectations.
A local trader described the results as mixed, noting that while revenue growth remained robust, earnings expansion lagged due to margin compression in the ticketing business. The segment, which typically generates higher margins for CTS Eventim, faced cost pressures and softer pricing power, weighing on profitability despite the top-line increase.
CTS Eventim’s shares, listed on the Xetra exchange under the ticker EVD, extended declines following the announcement, reflecting investor disappointment with the earnings quality amid broader market caution toward consumer-facing service providers.
