Canary Wharf Finance II plc announced that it has terminated Fitch Ratings Ltd.'s credit rating coverage for seven classes of its first mortgage debentures. The affected securities include fixed‑rate Class A1 notes at 6.455% due 2033 and Class A3 notes at 5.952% due 2037, as well as floating‑rate issues across Classes A7, B3, C2 and D2. The debentures carry ISIN numbers ranging from XS0112279616 to XS0295172745.
The decision follows an internal review that highlighted the resource demands and costs of maintaining a third rating agency. While Fitch's coverage ends, Canary Wharf Finance II will continue to receive ratings from S&P Global Rating Europe Limited and Moody's Investor Services Limited for the same securities. Notices of the change have been sent to all noteholders of the impacted classes.
The move, disclosed on September 3, 2026, reflects the issuer’s effort to streamline its rating provider arrangements without altering the credit assessment provided by the remaining agencies.
